I know the summer is over and normally you would think more in the direction of hydrating creams now. Nevertheless, I want to post this review on this mattifying cream from Embryolisse. Because I’ve just finished mine and now, while the impression is still in my head, is the best time to leave a review.
What does the producer say about Embryolisse Emulsion Hydra-Mat?
Emulsion Hydra-Mat (Hydra-Mat Emulsion) Ensures optimal moisturizing and a long lasting matt effect. It absorbs excessive sebum and reduces shininess. Skin is toned with Apricot Oil.*
This cream has a lightweight texture. It is not too liquid, it still is a cream. I don’t like watery textures and many mattifying creams have those. It absorbs quite fast, although, when it is hot, my face did sweat a little bit. It was gone after 5 minutes. It hydrates my skin well enough. It mattifies quite well as well. What I also like about it: it doesn’t have alcohol which many others mattifying creams have, that’s a huge plus for me. It doesn’t dry my skin out at all, on the contrary. In the colder periods my skin needs more hydration, so I’m happy I’ve finished this tube now and can switch on to heavier creams. Perfect timing! I will repurchase this for the next summer, if my need to try something else out will not be stronger of course. But Embryolisse is a great brand for my skin, they make awesome products and I’m happy with it. I already left my review about thier Lait-Creme Concentre which truly has become my must-have. I am a bit less enthusiast about Emulsion Hydra-Mat, but it still is a great product. It says it will be perfect for normal and combination skin. I agree to that: oily skin definetely needs a less hydrating, more mattyfying cream. Its smell is quite neutral, which is a plus, too.
Overall mark: 9 out of 10.
Perfect for you if: your skin is normal/combination, you search for a light moisturizer with a mattyfying effect for the period of summer/spring.
