I like the products of Essence because of many reasons: they’re affordable and the quality is surprisingly OK! Especially I like their Nail Art line: it has many brushes, kits, nail polishes and other interesting stuff in it. Also, recently I’ve been completely into the glitters. I love glitters! They’re so Holiday-proof! But as all of you glitter lovers know, to remove a glitter polish from your nails is a real pain. So I was in a shop, I was hesitating between buying another glitter top or not. And then my eyes fell on something very interesting: Essence Nail Art Peel Off Base Coat. I thought right away that this might be a wonderful solution for glitters! So I decided to try it out.
Essence Nail Art Peel Off Base Coat
It is a white nail base. You should apply it, wait for 10 minutes until it becomes transparent and then apply your polish. When you want to remove your polish – everything you need to do is peel it off. Just as easy as that. It sounds really well!
When you apply it – and you should apply a thick layer – it does look white.
After 10 minutes it dried up completely and became transparent:
Then I decided to apply a glitter polish. It’s not even a polish – it’s a top. Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper. This one is in 13 Mr and Mrs Glitter.

It is a transparent nail polish with huge sized glitters in it: Black, Green and Neon blue. It doesn’t cover at all in one layer, neither it does in two. So I had to apply 3 thick layers. I thought I’d made it extra hard for the base!
One coat:
Two coats:
Three coats:
Then I applied a top coat just as usual.
I’d waited only for two days, manicure still looked good but I couldn’t wait to try this base coat out. So I decided to peel it off. This is how it looked after 2 days:
Then I started to peel it off. The hardest part is to find a piece to start with. Because after that it comes off really easily in one part mostly.
I was surprised! Yay! It works. This is how my nails looked directly after I peeled it off:
Don’t be afraid – the resting pieces are not from my nails, they are the pieces of base that didn’t come off. I used my usual polish remover. They were gone within one second. My hands looked just as they always do when I erase my nail polish:
Overall opinion:
Yay I love it! This is a great solution for the ones who love glitter polishes but hate removing them! I am so happy I decided t o try it out and I definitely recommend it to you!
