Today I decided to post part 2 of my home-made masks story. This time it will be about hair and the masks you can make by yourself at home.
- The first thing is oils. You can use absolutely any oil you like. Examples: shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil and others. How to use them? The thing I like the best is the following. I make braids of my hair and put some oil into a plastic glass. Then I put the ends of braids into these glasses, put a plastic bag over it and tighten it up. Then I wait for as long as possible and wash my hair normally. This is a great treatment for dry hair ends.
- The second thing you can do is apply oil all over your hair. Then you put a towel on your pillow and sleep with oil in your hair. In the morning you should wash your hair as usual. As a result your hair will be soft.
- if your time resources are limited you can apply oil all over your hair 1 hour – 30 minutes before washing your hair. If you’ll do it regularly, the effect will be good. It will nourish and soften your hair.
You can do all these masks whenever you have time and it is obvious they’ll do good for your hair. But I must add something important. Namely, all those masks are not more than a nice bonus for your good professional hair care. Because I think that nothing can be better than a shampoo and conditioner of good quality. I really see the difference. So unless you are lucky with thick bunch of hair you have to try that too. But this is more an exception.
Also I always follow certain hair care rules. I always apply shampoo exceptionally on the roots and never on the ends. This to prevent hair ends to dry out. I never brush wet hair as it is more fragile. After washing I dry my hair with microfiber towel because it is better for hair. And I do think that it is bad for hair quality to wash your hair every day.
