When it comes to nude, neutral makeup I think the first thing every person who is familiar with beauty will think of…Urban Decay. And ‘Naked‘. And that’s not without a reason: this is probably the most known nude palette for the eyes. Is it this popular on a reason? Or is it just carefully chosen brand’s marketing? Find out now!

Packaging and design: 8.5 out of 10.

The palette comes in a metal tin. It looks quite pretty. But I would say it is a bit too heavy if you want to take it with you when you’re travelling. For me as I do travel a lot (or even go away for a weekend) that is a slight disadvantage. But if not that: I like the packaging a lot. Inside there is a huge mirror and a two-sided brush. I don’t like the quality of the brush: the synthetic bristles are stiff. There are 12 eyeshadows in this palette, each of them weighs 1.3 grams. Which makes the total weight of eyeshadows in this palette of 15.6 grams. That is huge! As a bonus you get a lip gloss miniature: Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Naked.

Texture: 9 out of 10.

The texture of these eyeshadows is phenomenal, as usual with Urban Decay. They are pigmented, soft and even slightly buttery. They look gorgeous on the eyes. There are two eyeshadows with a bit less intense texture (busted and blackout).

Shades.

These are the 12 shades of this palette:

  • Foxy is a matte beige. It is almost invisible on my pale arm. This is a great shade to blend out other eyeshadows with or to apply all over your eye lid to cover the rednesses and still look like you’re not wearing any makeup.
  • Half baked is a golden bronze shade with a metallic finish.
  • Bootycall is a satin beige shade with white glow. It is perfect to be used as highlighter especially in the inner eye corners. Love it for that!
  • Chopper is a coppery orangy brown with tiny silver glitters. It has metallic finish. Its texture is a bit rough, I think it’s due to those micro glitters.
  • Tease is a matte greyish brown.
  • Snakebite is one of my favourites, it is incredibly pigmented bronzed brown with golden shimmer.
  • Suspect is dirty golden-bronze with metallic finish.
  • Pistol is a dirty earthy grey satin shade.
  • Verve is my absolute favourite! It looks amazing when you apply it all over your eyelids. It is light grey with white shimmery glow.
  • YDK is probably the most pigmented and soft shade. It is brownish bronze with silver sheen. It is a lovely intense shade. It has metallic finish.
  • Busted is a matte warm deep brown. It is less pigmented and slightly more stiff than other shades.
  • Blackout is a matte black. It has the worst texture and average pigmentation. I have never used it as I find it a bit boring and I don’t like much black on my eyes.

Lipgloss:

The lipgloss is a nice bonus to this palette. It is a miniature of Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Naked. It has 3.23 ml (0.11 fl oz) of product. It looks peachy pink on my hand but when I apply it is just looks transparent. It smells like mint and has the lip plumping effect (you can feel the mint tickle your lips). Unfortunately it dried my lips out.

Overall opinion:

This is a definite and absolute must-have for everyone! I can’t compare it to Naked Palette as I don’t have one and frankly I’ve seen so many reviews and swatches so I figured out they’re too much alike to have them both. I love my Naked 2 palette because you can create such a huge variety of looks with it, from the real nudes up to deep evening smokey eyes. Every time I’m watching a video on YouTube and I see a nice makeup, it turns out to be the Naked 2 palette. Wicked! But it is true. The eyeshadows are great to work with and I am sure everyone will benefit from having it at home. So yes I do recommend it to you!
