Ever since I saw the promo of the Catrice Summer Spring 2013 collection I knew that I wanted to try out this BB cream! I have problem acne-prone skin and unfortunately I was not able to find a budget foundation that will not break me out and look good. As I love Catrice I was really hoping that this would look great and leave my skin clean. Yesterday I posted an unboxing and first impression video. My first impression was very good. Now I’ve tried Catrice BB cream out during a week and can share my opinion on it with you. Is it as good as I hoped? Find out now!
Packaging and design: 10 out of 10.
I actually love packaging of Catrice BB cream as it looks so luxurous! It comes in a carton box. The bb cream itself is in a tube which contains 30 ml/1 fl oz of product.
This tube has a hygienic opening which is definitely a plus:
Texture: 7.5 out of 10.
Its texture is quite thick but light at the same time. I first tried applying it with my hands which is not the best way to apply this bb cream. I prefer applying it with a brush as that way it covers evenly and I can apply less product while achieving the same result. Despite that it’s quite light it covers pretty well: all my rednesses and minor imperfections are gone after applying this bb cream.
Finish: 7 out of 10.
Its finish is definitely not matte. I would say it is glowy and satin. It is not a product for oily skin. I needed to powder it off and do touch-ups during the day because otherwise my skin started to lit greasy. It was comfortable to wear this bb cream. It didn’t dry my skin out at all.
My Catrice BB Allfound Foundation is in the lightest shade: 010 Light Beige. It is a neutral beige with slight greyish undertone. This undertone is not visible once applied on the skin. It is a perfect shade for my fair skin! I didn’t swatch it because it was absolutely invisible on my skin. I did show it in my unboxing video.
Overall opinion on Catrice BB cream.
I think this is a great product! Especially for its price. I was quite happy in the first couple of days that I wore it. I thought that I finally found a budget foundation that was good! But unfortunately it turned out that it clogged my pores. Just a little bit, but still. The rest was quite good: coverage, it lasted through the whole day, it didn’t disappear from my face, my skin felt really comfortable.
Overall note: 6.5 out of 10.
- light but covers good
- comfortable to wear, moisturizing
- nice packaging
- clogged my pores
- not for oily skin
Price: 5.99 euro for 30 ml/1 fl oz of product.
