You know me, you know how much I love spring, the sun that starts to come out, the weather that is finally starting to get better, new energy, warm wind…Inspiration, need to change, bright colors. So, today I decided I’d do a trendy article: here I collected some trends for the upcoming spring 2013, the ones that you can’t miss!

Trend #1: glowy face.

No matte skin, just some natural glow and flawless skin. Radiance is the key word this spring, ladies!

Trend #2: translucent powder.

Colored powders are not so handy. At least, me, I have to buy them in so many shades: very light ones for the winter, medium for autumn and spring and darker for summer. The solution to that problem is a translucent powder. Besides, it doesn’t make your makeup look cakey at all.

Trend #3: eyeliner.

Black, color, any type of eyeliner! Before I always used my gel eyeliners from MAC, Bobbi Brown and others but recently I’ve been more into pen kind of eyeliners. They’re so much easier and quicker to work with. Great for when I need to do my eyeliner really quickly. Among the liquid pen eyeliners my number one is definitely the one from Urban Decay: I would have probably never tried it if it was not included in my Book of Shadows IV Palette. Now I love it and there are so many shades to choose from!

Trend #4: less is more.

I’ve noticed that we see more and more of those kind of ‘all in one’ products. Face palettes from Benefit, Too Faced, Nars that include bronzer, blusher, highlighter. It’s so easy to make a pick in the morning, perfect for travel and just something nice to have in your stash. Recently I’ve discovered this funny thing from Benefit:

Trend #5: bright lips.

Bright, red, coral, pink, berry…choose any color you like, the brighter the better!

Trend #6: bright nails.

If you’re following me on Instagram, you might have noticed that I’ve been completely obsessed with bright nail polishes recently. Brights, neons…luckily for me, they’re still ‘in’. I just feel so happy when I apply a nice funky polish on my nails.

Trend #7: nail art.

Yeah nail art is in! It all started a couple of years ago with nail crackers, now OPI released its Liquid Sand Collection. This kind of effect of snow, sand and other is very popular at the moment! My personal favourite is this one:

Trend #8: Fake it!

If we look at the designer shows for Spring 2013, we actually see a lot of fake lashes! I guess, Dior started that trend this winter when it made us happy with Grand Bal lashes. Don’t forget to invest into a good eyelash glue!

Trend #9: bright eyes.

The designers decided not to stay classy and nude for this season: bright eyes are in! Especially shades like green, blue, turquoise, jade are the trendmakers.

Trend #10: natural brow.

The brows this spring are full, bushy and natural. The best way to create this kind of eyebrow is by using a set: apply eyebrow powder to color them in, then fix everything with wax.
