Foundation vs BB cream seems to be the big question. Me I tested a lot of foundations and some BB creams. I must say that I never was the fan if the latter. Missha Pefect Cover is actually the only Asian BB cream I own, the others ones I tested were samples. Now I think I’ll give BB creams another chance, but today our hero is Missha Perfect Cover.
Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream offers a novel skin care concept with BB cream, which lightens skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevents skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.*
Packaging and design: 10 out of 10.
I can’t complain about packaging: I have a miniature version of 20 ml, which is lightweight and easy to use. You can take it to travel and in your bag: it’s very easy. And another bonus: this cream contains SPF 42 PA +++.
My Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is in shade 21 Light Beige. This is one of the lightest shades (there is also 13, but I think it must be really white). No 21 is a very light beige with grey undertone. It’s not greyish, it is grey! If I just apply this BB cream, without anything on top and look at myself in the mirror I get scared of myself! It is really light. And that’s me talking, my skin is already very pale!
Finish: 7 out of 10.
For me, the finish is too glowy and wet. I am no fan of glowy makeup though, I prefer to use matte products and apply a highlighter where I want to.
Here are the photos of my bare face:
Here I applied Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in 21 on my face and under my eyes:
Frankly, I don’t like it. First because of its texture: it feels so heavy on the skin especially when it’s hot! I feel that this cream blocks my pores and everything and doesn’t let my skin breathe. Its coverage is middle: you can build it up to full but I don’t think that’s a good idea. It will feel really too heavy. Also, a great disadvantage: it clogs my pores! I see pimples and stuff even after 1 single usage. It stays quite well on the face though. I’m not sure about anti-aging capacities: I think I’m too young to fully judge on this point. But I do like using it as a concealer: it doesn’t give enough coverage on its own but paired with Bobbi Brown’s corrector they do a good job!
