I’ve had so many good reactions and comments on the manicure that I posted on my Instagram and this look that I decided to do a photo tutorial on it. I wanted to do something different from a video and as I’ve never done a photo tutorial before I figured – why not try? If you like this format of post, or if you don’t – let me know, your opinion is important to me!

So, this is the manicure that I’m talking about:

And this is today’s result:

To do this manicure I will use the following products:

You can use nail polish of any color for a french manicure. Classic combination is a white tip and beige or pink base. I decided to do something different: a double tip with a bright color and some glitter. For the manicure I used an Essence nail polish, this time I decided to go for Chanel Holiday. I am so obsessed with this shade right now! As a glittery shade I took NYC’s Full Metal Jacket 002. I will also need a polish remover, a corrector pen and a nail art pen.

I forgot to picture a top coat with it: I used INM looks wet. It’s just a basic transparten gloss top coat with no color.

So, we begin with clean neat nails. I removed my nail polish and did manicure.

Then on the clean nails (so no base coat!) I started to apply my bright nail polish. I begin in the middle and then work it out to the sides.

It’s ok if you do a mistake – that’s why we need a corrector pen, you can correct it right away. And that’s why it’s important to skip base coat – it will be much harder to correct and you’ll spoil manicure.

I normally apply 2 coats on each nail for maximum coverage and to make sure the color is even.

Then comes the hardest part: double tip. I apply just a little bit of the second polish on the brush:

Here is where I have to be very concentrated, because otherwise I risk to do mistakes and spoil everything. So I start at one side of a nail and work towards the center. Then I stop, reapply some polish on the brush and do the same starting from the other side.

This is what it looks like:

And the rest of the nails done the same way:

The only thing left to do is I have to cover my nails with a top coat.

Tadaa! This is the end result:
