My hair has suffered a lot. Well, I made it suffer a lot when I was younger: I dyed it many times, I’ve had extensions, different hair styles and hair cuts…now I just try to do everything to make my hair stronger. I use good shampoos, conditioners, masks, ampules. And I try to avoid heat as it damages your hair a lot. So when I do use a hair dryer or a straightener, I make sure my hair is well protected against heat. One of the products that help me do that is Kérastase Ciment Thermique.
Kérastase Ciment Thermique Product Description:
Kérastase Ciment Thermique is the first heat-activated reconstructor milk for weakened hair. It works by strengthening the hair fibre internally and protecting the surface of the hair, smoothing it from root to tip, to leave it firm, supple and energised.
Kérastase Ciment Thermique is formulated with Thermo-activation, specially developed to use with heat, it increases the effects of the product by sealing the reconstructing active ingredients in the fibres; Vita-Ciment recreates the intercellular cement, strengthening the hair fibre from the inside; and Vita Topseal, a resurfacing active ingredient which reinforces the natural external protective layer. Hair is left firm, supple and energised.
So this product is made specially for straigtheners, it protects the hair from heat. Such kind of product is a must-have, if you use curlers, straighteners, hair dryers you must use protectors too. That way your hair will stay healthy and you will not cry during your visit to a hair cutter!
Kérastase Ciment Thermique is actually a hair milk: it has a nice creamy texture. What I like about it is that it gets absorbed pretty quickly and doesn’t weigh your hair down or makes it oily. I’ve already tried another heat protectant from Kérastase – Nectar Thermique but I thought that I had to be really careful with the amount of cream that I apply into my hair. If I applied too much my hair wouldn’t look oily or grease but I would have to wash it the next day (normally I only wash my hair like once in 3-4 days). Kérastase Ciment Thermique doesn’t have that problem: you can apply as much as you want. It does protect really well from the heat and I am pretty happy about the job it does.
I think Kérastase Ciment Thermique is more a product for normal to oily hair, if your hair is dry like mine you probably should better go for Kérastase Nectar Thermique which has a thicker, fuller texture and will nourish your hair (especially the ends). But as I said, it has a little downside as you’ll have to wash your hair more often and you might lose a bit of volume. Kérastase Ciment Thermique on the other hand gives a bit of volume to your hair, makes it gorgeous, silky and straight! This is a great product!
Overall note: A.
