Lip stains are in at this moment! If you don’t know what a lip stain is: in a couple of words, these are lip products for lazy ones! Haha, in other words: these lip products are supposed to last longer as they color your lips and so your lips always have a nice color. Catrice recently came out with a new collection: Thrilling Me Softly, which includes limited edition Catrice Wet Shine Stain. After some testing and doubting I decided to try it out and went for the sweetest color: C01 Innocent.

The packaging is pretty standard: a black tube with pink letters. The color of the letters is different on the other tubes: it kind of matches the shade of the stain itself. There is 4 ml/0.13 fl.oz. of product in this lip stain.

Catrice Thrilling Me Softly Wet Shine Stain: Product Description

I made a picture of the backside but as the tube is round, you can’t really read it. This is what it says:

Catrice Cosmetics Wet Shine Stain Long-Lasting Lip Lacquer. Limited Edition Thrilling Me Softly.

The ultimate gloss, stain and lipstick in one – gives extremely long-lasting colour and wet shine. Stains the lips.

The brush is a sponge. I don’t know if it’s only my lip stain or the other ones are the same but look at the stick: there’s so much product on it! It looks messy and is a product waste.

Catrice Thrilling Me Softly Wet Shine Stain C01 Innocent.

The Catrice Wet Shine Stains come in 3 different shades, 2 intense and pretty dark ones and the other is Innocent which is a berry pink. It gives a glossy finish.

There is a difference between the 3 shades: I swatched them all and the darker 2 colored my hand, even after I removed them the color stayed on my hand. This one doesn’t do that. Here I removed the swatch from my hand and as you can see, there’s no trace left:

My opinion:

Even if my Catrice Wet Shine Stain doesn’t actually stain the lips, it is a pretty long-lasting product. The texture is very thick and it is very sticky. It’s probably due to that that it stays well on the lips. My lips felt comfortable when I was wearing it and it doesn’t dry them out. But if you don’t like sticky lip products, this one is definitely not for you: hair sticking to your lips will drive you crazy.

Overall note: B.
