A compact powder foundation. A very handy product! I’ve used a powder foundation for years, before my makeup addiction I actually only had 1 powder foundation that I applied every day and 1 foundation that I applied on a special occasion. It’s nice because it’s easy to use: you take a sponge and apply it onto your face, you can’t go wrong with it. Also, there’s no need for a thousand steps: again, hop hop and your face looks perfect. I’ve loved Dior Forerer for years but I admit, since they’ve changed formula it lacked a bit of glow so I was looking for something else…and I found Make Up For Ever White Definition Instant Brightening Powder Foundation.
I am not sure if this is a special Asian Make Up For Ever product or this is from their pro line, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online except for their official website.
It comes in a flat plastic box. The quality of the packaging is so-so but that’s completely fine with me.
Inside there’s a huge mirror and a sponge. There’s 10 grams (0.35 oz.) of product in it.
Make Up For Ever White Definition Powder: Product Description
This SPF30/PA++ brightening powder foundation provides an extremely effective barrier to the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays, which are responsible for the accelerated aging of skin.
It doesn’t say a lot besides the fact that it has SPF!
Make Up For Ever White Definition Powder in 10
I was so tired of always being wrong about the powder shade so I decided to go for the lightest one: 10. Normally this powder comes in 7 shades:
- 10 Beige,
- 12 Vanilla,
- 16 Cream,
- 20 Ivory,
- 35 Flesh,
- 40 Sand,
- 50 Amber.
10 Beige is a really light one, so finally I got it good! Here’s a finger swatch:
10 Beige is a very light, almost white cool-toned beige. Here I swatches it on my hand. As it precisely matches my skin color, you almost can’t see anything:
Another photo with a flash:
I love it! Frankly, that’s all I need and this is the product I’ve been using last 2 weeks. Every single day! I love the coverage, the finish, everything! It is very smooth and silky, gives a satin glowy finish. Sometimes it becomes too much though and I have to do several touch-ups (2) during the day. But that’s fine with me. My skin is combination at the moment and a bit dehydrated. It has a high SPF factor so you have to be careful when taking photos with a flash: I inserted one photo like this and my face looks Dracula-pale there. I don’t need an SPF high like that but oh well. This powder also brightens my skin and I think it will be especially loved by Asian ladies, who love this brightening effect and a high SPF factor. I love it, too, it’s a perfect foundation powder for my pale face!
Overall Note: A.
Where to buy:
I ordered it online in France and I’m not sure if you can get it online elsewhere – at least I haven’t found it. Here’s the link to this product on official Make Up For Ever website.
Texture: 5/5, Finish: 5/5, Longevity 4+/5, Packaging: 5-/5.
Here’s how Make Up For Ever White Definition in 10 looks on me:
On the following photos on the right I’m only wearing Collection Concealer, on the left I’m also wearing Make Up For Ever White Definition Powder in 10:
It gives a nice full coverage. These photos were taken directly after application so my skin still looks a bit ‘dry’, the powder hasn’t settled here yet.
The following photo was taken with a flash. You see how pale my skin looks like? So beware, no flash photos when you’re wearing products with a high SPF factor!
And here I’m wearing full makeup. The powder has had time to settle, you can already see the smooth silky finish. Love it!
