Catrice Carnival of Colours my Review (out of 10):
Catrice Carnival of Colours collection is out! Frankly when I went to the shop I still expected to see the previous Haute Couture collection. But it was already gone! I tested all the products from Catrice Carnival of Colours collection and decided to buy a lipgloss and an eyeshadow trio!
The eyeshadows are available in 3 different color combinations:
- green, blue and red
- orange, yellow and purple
- yellow, purple and blue
The Carnival of Colours collection is dedicated to Football World Cup 2014 in Brazil, that’s why the colors are intense and very clear!
The lipglosses are available in 4 shades:
- orange and
I hesitated a lot whether I should take the orange one as well or not but finally decided not to as it seemed to me like it was much alike my Catrice Ultimate lipgloss in Tangerine.
Here are the products that I finally bought:
- Catrice Carnival of Colours Baked eyeshadow in C02 International Anthem
- Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipgloss in C04 Feel the SpiRED
Catrice Baked Trio Eyeshadow
The packaging is simple and made of plastic. There are 3 shades in it, total weight is 1.5g/0.05 oz which is not a lot but more than enough for the shades that you won’t really use that often.
My Catrice Baked Trio eyeshadow is in the shade C02 International Anthem:
It has 3 different shades in it:
- orangy red (it is more red than orange) with tiny silver shimmer
- intense green-blue with with tiny silver shimmer
- light grass green with tiny silver shimmer
The eyeshadow is incredibly soft and pigmented, I was really impressed about the quality! It looks beautiful on the eyes even without an eyeshadow primer. I didn’t need to use one for the makeup below!
My Note: A.
Catrice Carnival of Colours Ultimate Colour Lipgloss
First I wanted to buy all the lipglosses but in reality they turned out to be so little! I do like the packaging – it is very modern and sleek and lightweight but there’s not much product in it: only 4ml/0.13 fl.oz!
So finally I decided to only buy one shade. The yellow was plain yellow/transparent, I already have one purple lip gloss which is more than enough and the orange shade looked much like my Tangerine one. So I chode the red shade: my Catrice Carnival of Colours Ultimate Colour Lipgloss is in C04 Feel the SpiRED.
It is a pretty pink-red shade with tiny silver shimmer which is invisible on the lips.
The quality of the lipgloss is fine, it has a minty taste. But the quantity is really small!
My Note: B.
- Where to Buy Catrice:
In the Netherlands you can buy it in Kruidvat, in France – in some Auchan shops. If you know the other places where you can buy Catrice in other countries let me know I’ll edit this information!
Makeup with Catrice Carnival of Colours collection products:
I’m also wearing Catrice Matt Foundation in 010, La Prairie loose powder, Guerlain bronzer, Rimmel Micro liner, Kiko Glamorous eye pencil 409, Catrice Better Than False Lashed Mascara. I used a tiny bit of the red shade from the eyeshadow trio on my cheeks.
