Have you ever tried a real Russian borscht? Actually it’s a Ukranian dish. But everyone thinks it’s Russian. Anyways, it’s delicious! I make it using my multi cooker so it’s really easy and doesn’t take a lot of work. Prijatnovo appetita!

Ingredients:
- 2 steaks of minced meat
- 1 cup of cooked rice
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 2 cooked beets
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- a pinch of sugar
- 1 tbsp of vinegar
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1/2 white cabbage
- Salt, pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- Garlic
Directions:
- Mix the minced meat with cooked rice, salt and pepper it
- Make small meat balls out of the mix
- Mince the onion and the carrot, I use my chopper to do that as it’s easier
- Mince the beets and add them to the carrots and onions
- Fry it for 2-3 more minutes
- Chop the tomato and add it to the mix
- Add tomato sauce, sugar and vinegar
- Stew this for 3 more minutes
- Chop the potatoes and the cabbage
- Add it to the mix, salt, pepper and add the bay leaves
- Fill the pan with water and stew for 1 hour
- Add the meat balls and stew for another 20 minutes
- Before serving add garlic to the soup
- Enjoy!
