Hey everyone!
Normally, I my website follows a tight schedule of posts. But today will be an exception, as yesterday I’ve bought nail lacquer from Dior’s Holiday Collection 2012. It is magnificent and I couldn’t wait to share it with you! So, today’s extra post will be devoted to Diva.
Packaging and design:
The whole collection is in gold. The Grand Bal really speaks for itself: it is chique, gold, for a special occasion. Normally, Dior’s products are packed in the deep blue packages, but this time it was all gold. I love it! It is so pretty and underlines one more time that it is a limited edition. I loved the packaging the moment I saw the promo, I must say, I was not disappointed. Diva is in lovely round tube with a golden cover. I imagined though that that the size would be slightly bigger. But like this, it is even prettier.
Packaging and design mark: 10 out of 10.
Brush:
I was a bit disappointed here as I am a fan of typical wide brushes from Dior. This one is not like them: it is a ‘standard’ brush. Nevertheless, it gives you a good coverage, easy to work with. Actually, after 1 application your coat is already good enough, it is even. The only thing is it is slightly more difficult to work your cuticule zone. But this is a tiny disadvantage.

Texture:
The texture is just perfect! As I said, with only 1 coat your manicure is already almost perfect. It doesn’t leave any stripes, nothing. Although, you will not see much of the shimmer with 1 coat. It is better to apply 2 coats, that way shimmer will be more visible. And if you apply top coat after that, you will enjoy all the speculiarities of the color.

Color:
Dark night, sky and the stars…This is how I see this color. The base is deep black. The stars are magic, as they should be during the Christmas: they are golden and fuschsia-pink. This shimmer was the reason I first believed the polish was very dark purple, but it turned out not to be true.
I was afraid that this polish would appear plain black on the nails. Fortunately, this is not the case: this black is deep, dark, beautiful. Even if we do not see shimmer from far away, it does it’s job perfectly well, preventing this lacquer from being ‘simple’ and ‘plain’. I must say though, that ‘diva’ adores electric lighting: this is when we see its beauty at its best.
General opinion:
I am very happy with it! I can’t even remember the last time a sneak peek photos made me desire something this much. I went out searching for this polish as soon as collection went out! And I was not disappointed. This is a love from first sight. If you liked this lacquer, I advise you to hurry up as this is a limited edition.
General mark: 10 out of 10.
